In the fall of 2018, God gave me the opportunity to attend a women’s conference at my church. During that weekend, He issued me the invitation to surrender my dreams, goals, and vision for what my life would look like to Him and give Him total control.
I made the choice willingly and to say it changed my perspective would be an understatement. I hadn’t realized how much I had been holding on to the false assumption I could control situations around me, and how negatively that was impacting my life until I gave it all over to Him and said, “Everything I have is Yours, God, show me what You want me to do with it all.”
It was during that time God showed me the adventure our family was on wasn’t finished. He had more to show me and as a result, Spoken from the Heart: Journey of Complete Surrender was published in the spring of 2019.
The cover used for that book came from a dear friend who graciously allowed our family to use it. The rainbow speaks clearly about how when we completely surrender to His plans, the beauty that results is more than we could have hoped for.
I’ve realized as long as we continue to pray for God to use our family in whatever way He chooses, we will continue to be adventuring as long as He allows this side of Heaven.
