As I explained last week, Spoken from the Heart: Take it to the Next Level was published as a result of God inviting me to have a closer relationship with Him.
Spoken from the Heart: Digging Deeper was where God and I naturally went after that initial invitation. I found, for me, the more I learned about God, the more I wanted to learn about Him. It was published in March 2014, a month after Spoken from the Heart: Take it to the Next Level was published.
The more time I spent with my Heavenly Father, the more I missed those times when life got busy and I hadn’t spent quality time with Him for a couple of days.
I’ve spoken about how my family is closely involved in the publishing aspect of our books, and I mean it. The cover of this particular book reminds me of that every time I see it.
This picture was taken during the summer of 2013, when we were first attending what is now our church home. Every Sunday we drove down the same road to get to church and we saw this marshy area.
I remarked to my husband how beautiful it was and how I thought it would make a great book cover. He kept his eye out and waited patiently until the colors were just right, then one Sunday, pulled over on the side of the road and we took pictures until we captured the one that you see here.
When I see this cover, it not only reminds me of the sweet time when I was growing more and more in love with my Heavenly Father, but it reminds me of the amazing man God blessed me to share life (and ministry) with.
