From Isolated to Influence

“He’s not listening,” Cathy fumed, as the civic leader towered over her. She went home and “plopped open” her Bible.

There’s got to be something here about people who don’t listen. She found over 40 ways Jesus communicated.

Plus, she gained new respect for one of the most fascinating women in scripture. Jesus, the Master Communicator, engaged the woman at the well in just one conversation. She immediately zipped from lonely to leadership. We can, too!

Queen of Fun and Coffee Cup Philosopher, Cathy Krafve delivers creativity and encouragement on every page of The Well: The Art of Drawing Out Authentic Conversations.

My Review of The Well:

The book offers a wealth of information regarding communication and conversations with others. I love the one part that the author repeats multiple times. It’s useless to try and continue a conversation with someone who is resistive. That’s when you choose to “rest” and find someone else who is receptive to your message until either the other person is receptive or Jesus tells you otherwise. The reminder that it’s the Holy Spirit who convicts people and also that even when Jesus had conversations with people, they didn’t all end well is a great reminder to us that the outcome is not in our hands. We are only to deliver the message and it’s wise to know when we should stop talking and walk away.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but was not under any obligation to write a review. All opinions are strictly mine.
