About the Author
Rachel Baxter has a professional background in engineering, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering, and an MBA. Rachel currently works in the field of business process consulting with over 20 years of experience.
Rachel grew up in the Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She was born again and spirit-filled in 2014 when she received inner healing through a ministry called One Whole Heart in Omaha, Nebraska. She now serves as an elder and volunteer for this ministry. Rachel also serves her local church in various capacities.
Rachel is married to Garrick, and they have 4 children from elementary to high school age. Rachel led a Christian school and homeschool coop called Valor for 5 years. This was a missional spirit-led school where every day began with worship, and the children were taught to hear and follow the voice of the Lord, as Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and follow me!” Rachel continues to have a heart for Kingdom youth education.
When she was baptized in the Holy Spirit, Rachel began to have dreams and visions from the Lord. He began to speak with her about the days that are ahead, the time before Jesus returns, so that she could write them down and release the prophetic words for those who were willing to hear. Rachel has received several angelic visitations. (A primary purpose of an angel is to be a messenger.) An angel of the Lord came to Rachel to tell her that she was, “Called to see that which was coming upon the Earth and to tell others what is coming.” This book is an act of obedience to that call.
More from Rachel
It’s been a year since I co-labored with the Lord to write this work. I have used it myself on a weekly basis as a reference. There is so much insight here that is beyond me. The Lord, in His glorious wisdom, is able to make the complicated and mysterious – clear and beautiful when He takes His truth and allows us to absorb it into our bones. This is the essence of a revelation! The Revelation of Israel is God’s story of His plans written before time began. It starts with a people under Father Abraham who were meant to know their God. Those people fell short in every way and were scattered across the earth. We know that Jesus came to redeem God’s people to Himself through His atoning sacrifice – but the story of God does not end there. God’s story has continued the last 2,000 years and is about to be fulfilled in the last seven years of tribulation on the earth that culminates with the return of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah at the last trump!
Author Interview:
What role does God play in your writing career?
This question makes me laugh – in a good way! I do not feel like I have a writing career. I have written and published two books so far so I am hardly prolific. I do feel like there are more books inside of me though.
For me, God is everything. He is my beginning and end. I’ve lived without Him. Since I encountered Him through the power of Holy Spirit in 2014, He is my world. I love Him with my whole heart. I am fully given over to His love for me and His plans for my life. I’ve moved beyond the revelation that He will someday say to me, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Now, I know deep in my knower that I am his daughter (a daughter of the King) and Jesus’ bride.
I wrote The Revelation of Israel as an act of obedience to Him because of course I want to serve Him, and as an act of love towards Him because He deserves all the glory. My heart cries out that the world MUST know of His plan to be fulfilled in our lifetime!
Do you have a team or do you manage all aspects of writing by yourself? How do you balance writing, marketing, social media, etc.?
To this point, I have been a one-woman show. I would absolutely take the help if the Lord were to offer it. Thankfully, I am pretty capable. I’ve enjoyed figuring out things like using Publisher for the required formatting and building a website to help people to learn about the work and to purchase it.
I am SO THANKFUL for you that you are willing to read and review the work. What a blessing! That is helpful right there!
I have much to learn about marketing. As an engineer by background, that area is not in my wheelhouse, unfortunately. I’ve done very little publicity around the book. My research on Christian book publicity has not resulted in much for actionable tasks. I am open to suggestions!
What do you enjoy most about writing?
My first love is being able to tell people about my Papa God, the one who loves me and who loves them. I am most comfortable in front of a group of 20 or so people sharing from my heart and my mind. For me, writing is an extension of being able to share my heart and my understanding. The Revelation of Israel is about prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetime. I want to SHOUT from the rooftops what is about to happen to anyone who will listen. Writing gives me an avenue to be able to “shout” while someone is comfortably seated and willing to listen!
What do you like to do when you aren’t writing?
Oh boy. Thankfully, I have a full life. I am a mother of 4 teen or nearly-teenagers so I drive people around a lot or I am trying to prepare meals that no one eats. I am a project manager, though I am an engineer by background and education. My days are filled with email communication, Teams remote meetings, and excel spreadsheets. All four of our kids play basketball at one level or another so our weekends are filled with games and our weeknights are filled with practices. Of course, during all that, I’ve got my Jesus. He goes with me wherever I go. We always have a dialogue going. He is a good listener and an amazing encourager. Not as often as I would like to I get to spend time with my “besties”. Every woman needs to have a small group of women around her to help hold her accountable to growth, to lift her up when she is struggling with life, and to laugh with. I’ve got that and am grateful.
What projects are you working on currently?
That is a fun question! Currently, the Lord is leading me through a puzzle set against a dark and starry sky. He is opening up to me His story written in the stars and it is thrilling! Before I ever wrote The Revelation of Israel, I spent about 7 years learning pieces of the puzzle and releasing those pieces in short YouTube videos. It seems like the same thing is happening with this new project. A book could definitely emerge from this study, but I am not focused on it yet. I am in the midst of grabbing God’s heart for the topic and allow Him to lead me while refining me.
Thanks for connecting today.
