We’re in a new month, which means we’re talking about a new biblical event. Last month we talked about some of the biblical figures in Genesis: Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, and Isaac and Rebekah.
This month we’re going to skip ahead to Judges and study one story but four different biblical figures that played a significant role in that historical account.
Today we’re going to introduce the story with Deborah. You can read about this story in Judges 4-5. It introduces four different people: Deborah (a prophetess and judge), Barak (a military leader), Sisera (a king) and Jael (an ordinary wife whom God used to do an extraordinary thing).
What do all these people who don’t seem to have anything in common have to do with the biblical account in Judges 4-5? More importantly, what do all of these biblical figures have to do with God and fulfilling His purpose? Come join the host, Kara R. Hunt and myself as we talk about this action-packed event.
